This keyboard shortcut for switching between an application's open windows is built into the Cocoa framework. All Cocoa document based apps support this. MSIE is a Carbon app that mimics this behavior.

  I just tried it out with Mail and found that it worked well -- that's going to be really useful to me! I guess I tried it in other apps where it didn't work earlier.
