| ha ha ha, your "eight inch av cable" is about eight inches too long! heh. you meant eighth-inch, right? if that's not going in fully, it could be because your ipod isn't an ipod video. otherwise, there's probably some debris inside the jack. or maybe you have some unusual, proprietary, non-universal cable; try comparing it to other cables to see if its length looks abnormal. | ||

Well, im sure i got an ipod video: 2.5inch color display, got a video section in the menu, 30gb, just bought last december(2005), i cant be wrong.
The cable looks just like a normal headphone, except it has for rings and a bit longer. It's from a camcorder. That is the "eighth-inch av cable", right?
