| it's getting to the point where, even though it's fascinating (like the almost psychotropic mandelbrot set), i'd like to have the option to just be left alone, outside the madding sphere of this beehive of technophilia! there really is no "opt-out" in any of this. even if you claim there is, the erosion brought about by the tendency towards the path of least resistence ultimately prevails. like einstein pointed out, technology continually exceeds the human being's ethical development and willingness -- because there's this tendancy (even if publicly denied) to seek the _advantage_. | ||
