THanks for the good work on this topic. It never ceases to amaze me how often one's impulsive reaction to a proposition (eg: "Selling used books obviously undermines the author's revenue opportunity") is wrong -- things turn out to be far more complex than you'd think, and frequently the reality when you get to it is counterintuitive. No matter how many times I get banged by that reality, I still have trouble being skeptical enough when new slogans are thrown out there.
