Oh, I don't know... Fleury has run his mouth off in the past, why not do it again? Clearly it's these kinds of divisive statements, made without considering the consequences that will cause the most problems in the long run in OpenSource. It disturbs me greatly that the interviewer didn't challenge these assertions, or at least show some depth of industry knowledge.
My favorite comments by Mark were the ones regarding Lutris's decision to pull back Enhydra from OpenSource. We've since ceased all development and testing with Lutris because of that move (that and their software sucks in my opinion), but Mark called Lutris a bunch of sore losers for some write up or other Lutris had posted claiming OpenSource J2EE containers were in violation of Sun's licensing agreement. The statement decayed (literally words were removed over weeks and months) util the statement became benign. That says to me that there are other more level-headed forces in the JBoss Group. Let's hope they prevail. Mark may be a great engineer, but he's got a lot to learn about shooting his mouth off. He really comes off as an egotistical bastard.
