Very bad thing, don't use them

Instead of giving everyone a little bit of information you're giving one site everything.

Do YOU know what's behind that site, who they're going to sell your information to?

I know a lot of punters are scared when a website tells them they're at IP address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx and running OS YYYY. Better to educate them that that's not due to any security problems whatsoever and that they don't need to buy into any product or service.
