Thanks for the tutorial, it was very useful. But most useful for me was just trying to figure out how to get the metadata for a single file. I was tearing my hair out. I cannot believe there is not some Cocoa method somewhere like:


- (NSDictionary*)metadataForFile:(NSString*)filePath;


WTF Apple? Anyway, thank you much for your workaround! I was almost ready to parse mdls output wrapped in an NSTask :-/
