Yes, that is indeed not the impressive display mentioned in the article! The RSS capabilities discussed here have been introduced with the version of Safari that ships with Mac OS X v. 10.4 Tiger.


Safari 1.3, that ships with Mac OS X v. 10.3.9 will only display the raw XML feed, which explains your seeing that goop!
