How useful do you think UDDI,.NET,CLR etc of Microsoft be useful?( since all of the desktops (300 million),majority of the servers( at least 80% by numbers) and very rapidly, handhelds (especially iPAQs) belong to the WINDOWS world)
PERL especially can work through CLI and we can use SOAP,XML,WDSL into UDDI for registration and discovery.
I suppose the only objection would be "religious".
