Jini has got so many advantages compared to other technologies from Microsoft (for example)... it is open, portable, scalable easy to deploy, and i don't deals with licensing. Even if, for the moment, toasters can wait before beeing connected to the internet ;-) I think the more important is that Jini is THE technology that web services need to make there location abstract to there clients. |
