Hello, are there any hacks to to muscle-up the finder build-in FTP-abilities? Even with correct login data all FTP-Volumes are only mounted read-only. Presently I'm login to my remote websites via WebDAV, but I would prefer FTP without to use a separate Client-App. Best regards Stefan

  The Finder-based mounting of FTP is also a messy process. I'm sorry to say that you really have to use an FTP client under Mac OS X to work with FTP in any reliable fashion. There are about a dozen, though, so you might find one that meets your needs best.
