| In my blog entry, I was discussing using shred on some sort of bootable CD, so like DBAN, it doesn't matter what OS is running on the actual hard drive. | ||

We use cyberCide for wiping hard drives

We are using a great product for data destruction- cyberCide from CyberScrub LLC http://www.cyberscrub.com/cybercide
We are involved in regulatory compliance (i.e.: HIPAA and SOX) and need the professional support and customization. We can't rely on someone that has a staff of 1. We have found that freeware is generally worth what you pay for it.
