I didn't mean to suggest that you can't display your photos with a .Mac account, quite the contrary, iPhoto makes it extremely easy to display your photos to the public. The point that I was trying to make in the article was that Wheel goes a bit further by creating an online community to which everyone's photos are posted for both members and non-members to view at their leisure.
