I've used jigl to create web galleries that can be burned to CD and viewed by any browser. It uses perl and imagemagik. There's also a windows port.


The best way I've found to transfer the pictures is a card reader. I don't wear down the camera batteries and I don't balance an expensive camera on the end of a USB cable.
