Hi,
just want to sare my experience with Linux system - I'm not an MS fun, but, just my story that was about for 1 year already :(.
I was really want to use Linux on my Thinkpad T40 notebook, tried different distributions - paid or free - does not matter:
- Mandrake 10.1 and Fedora (core from 1 to 3) - wireless Intel 2100 (ipw2100) does not work with WEP encription, but KDevelop works as a charm.
- Lindows (Linspire) 4.5 - ipw2100 works with encryption, but KDevelop completely not functional.
- the same problems with FreeBSD

and just a comment about the "Linux community" - for me it looks like a bunch (and a realy big one) of a selfloving and selfish inividuals (ooh man i'm so cool - it works on my system, but for you i want to do the same process again if you can, he,he,he, blah, blah, blah...) that completely not capable, or maybe not willing to help another person to bring that thing up. Really guys - i was trying to bring it up for almost a 1 year without any success and what do i learn from this? - just stick to the better support and guess what is it? - your hated Windoze system, but Windoze with a capital W, that means no problems to find an answer for the problem - I did paid for support on Linux and you know what I got back about 8 month ago? - "we will talk to our developers how to solve this problem..." - time is gone, results - NOTHING.

Thank you, Alex
