The author has made interesting observation between the computer industry and the energy industry. However there is an important difference between the two. Unlike the computer industry those growth has followed Moore's law for several decades, the energy production is bounded by physical limit. There are only so much space to put wind mills and solar panel before they become a problem themselves.

Sadly it seems the only thing that is likely to follow Moore's trajectory is energy demand.
