Agree with this totally. Trying to use puTTY on my Windows box at work to set up tunneling caused failure of connections. I had set up the server from bombich.com and could connect internally at home but connecting from work doesn't work. I can putty to the same machine so it's not a firewall problem . . . just a figuring out how to forward the ports correctly problem.
