There is one Windows feature I miss in OS X: the ability to open a new Finder window no matter where or in what application I am. In Windows I used the Windows-E shortcut for opening a new Explorer window. This is a tremendous time saver.
Even after reading this interesting article I still don't know create the equivalent in OS X. But I may be missing something.
