It was interesting to note that Chris Hessing mentions the HostAP driver but did not even mention that there is a WPA/802.1X supplicant available at the same site: http://hostap.epitest.fi/wpa_supplicant/. This supplicant already supports WPA and WPA2/RSN (802.11i) and a long list of EAP methods.
