Everyone may want to be a rockstar, but a tiny percentage ever make it cut. The reality is, lots of people think they need more scalability than they do because they think they'll be more successful than they ever will be.
It's nice to dream of being the next eBay, but build it incrementally and solve the problems as they happen. Something delivered today is infinitely more functional than a good idea tomorrow.
