I wrote a little drag-and-drop app that can convert Text, Word, and RTF files (basically anything text edit can open) to PDF by the batch. If you have a lot of these files, and do not want to open and "Save as PDF..." for every file individually, it could be a big time saver. It's free, so check it out:
