You're absolutely right; this article is now showing its age. There are now many other, often easier ways to get all wiki-ed up on your Mac. Personally, I think VoodooPad is an excellent choice for most people. If you don't want to pay the shareware fee, PersonalWiki is another option. The latest version of Instiki apparently comes with everything you need for a working, double-click-and-run setup. There's lots of other options to try.
