It fails when trying to deal with the OpenSSL headers. This is not too detailed, but I am wondering if others are having this same problem? I went out to openssl.org and downloaded the 0.9.7.d tarball and built and installed that, but it didn't fix anything with Ruby 1.8.1. I even tried pulling it down using DarwinPorts instead of the direct tar ball, and the build failed in a different place, but it was also relating to OpenSSL.
