If I understand right, Parrot will infact be able to run scripts written in other languages as well as long as we have an intermediate byte code generator / compiler of sorts which converts down to parrot's byte code.
So this could infact be the open source equivalent of the .NET framework but without all the patent issues that might plague Mono / Rotor.
I am quite excited to see where this might take the whole LAMP scene to (P for Perl).
