I have been trying to make the Xircom module work in "peer to peer" mode using a D-Link pc card at my laptop's end. I managed to make the Xircom module exchange packets with the D-Link DWL-120, but my intention was to communicate something of meaning between the devices. I tried to HotSync wirelessly - to no avail. I also tried to ping the laptop from the Visor with a ping utility I’ve located and downloaded - again with no success. I talked to a tech-support rep from Xircom and found out that I need a software patch. I’ve installed it but it still doesn’t work. Has anyone been succesful in operating the Xircom in this mode?
