The complaint about $10/hour is misinformed. Yes, that is what it costs if you walk up and just want an hour online. But if you are a T-Mobile phone customer, you can get unlimited usage of hot spots for $19.99/month, which is a much better deal if you are going to be traveling and needing wireless access for your laptop.


For anyone else, you have three other options:
$39.99 month to month (unlimited use)
$29.99/month with 1-year signup (unlimited use)
$.10 per minute pay as you go (60 minute minimum)


The latter is what I chose, since my hot spot use is very spotty (put intended). I used it back in January and haven't needed it since. If I traveled on business the way I used to, 50% of my time on the road, the annual fee would be well worth it.
