I think if it weren't for the high price of LCD displays, we'd see a LCD iMac by now. But Jobs and the rest of Apple knows that they can't torpedo what will be an exciting new product by releasing it at too high of a price point (can you say "Cube"?).
So short of a wearable computer, they've done the smart business thing -- improve on the existing products.
I know it's disappointing to hear that if you're attending your first Jobs' Keynote and want to be a part of a big announcement, but I think Apple is learning when to play 'em and when to hold 'em. And I respect that.
