You make some good points, Jak. As you point out yourself, my purpose was not to try to better distcc, but just to show that you can quite easily distribute work to the grid, and it can actually do something useful.


There are certainly countless ways of improving xgridcc, and you are quite welcome to give it a shot. It probably wouldn't be all that difficult, but certainly too much for an introductory article.
