One thing that would be nice to see is which version(s) of apache this works for (i.e. 1.x/2.x/all). This article was very helpful and timely. I am moving my home boxes from RH7.2 to debian and moving from apache 1.x to 2.x at the same time.

  Actually, that remark is relevant for both 1.3 and 2.0, as is everything else in the article.
  
  I always make a point of things which are different between 1.3 and 2.0. Everything else can usually be assumed to be the same between 1.3 and 2.0. In this case, *everything* in the article works on 1.3 and 2.0.
