| Even if you totaly hammer your registry, can't you do a format & clean re-install & start over? | ||

Yes, but on some systems it's one HECK of a lot of work to lose EVERYTHING and start from scratch. I've got 98 gigs of hard drive space and it's almost full, because of my business, so BE SURE to back everything up before you attempt to work in your registry. That way it won't be so hard to fix after the flop.
