I am using Logic Education from emagic, the company bought by Apple to produce all these kick-ass audio apps. I have to say that GarageBand really makes making and recording music on a computer accessible. Using Logic - while being one of the industry leading audio software packages - is quite a frustrating und un-intuitive process.
