As I said, on my 15 inch (1024x768) screen the lines are longer than my screen (and apart from that the page contains almost 200 syntax errors). I read the page with iCab 2.9.7 under MacOS X 10.2.8 (Jaguar)

Whoa, there, fella... you've complaining about errors when you're using *iCab*? Err, are you the only person in the entire world who doesn't know that iCab doesn't work correctly yet? That browser is still in prerelease! They're not even done writing it yet. It's *full* of bugs.
Have you even read iCab's site? Here is the first sentence on their homepage, direct from the people who created iCab: "The development of iCab is not finished at the moment, some features of the final version are missing." And, "In the next few months better versions of iCab will be offered on our site."
Trying to criticize an excellent page and then saying in the same breath that you're using iCab does not make you appear very knowledgeable.
"Better to keep your mouth closed and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt." -Mark Twain
Gowannn.... go ahead, ignore the tips on this page, and keep using iCab, if you think those are the best decisions to make. You're in for quite an odyssey in frustration, though, and you're going to learn a LOT about troubleshooting before it's over. Have fun!
