within human groups bottom up usually means to replace "coordination" through "motivation" - however, ants seem to be subject to simple co-ordination principles (no delay in response to stimuli) rather than being "motivated" - to what extent consciousness (time out between stimulus and response for checking the most intelligent answer based on embodied past experiences) impacts the concept of swarm intelligence? eva |
