I see your observation, but fail to see your point, if you're making one. Open data versus open source? User contributed data managed/manipulated(?) by corporations?

   A company would filter away data that wouldn't be "appropriate" (keywords: anthrax, racism, horny sluts, big dicks in little cunts, etc.) for the benefit of... you guessed it.

I don't like the idea of a "corporate filter".

   Every voice counts, so a centralized knowledge center is a no-no. One world using Google? Finding out about things through, what could be, a very narrow hole?
