The additional restriction Free Software adds is that you may not link free software with nonfree (unless the latter can be made free). That is, you can't use free and nonfree software in the same binary.


And within the GPL, this is also split between the full GPL, and the L(ibrary|esser)GPL which permits dynamic linking subject to provisos listed in the license.
