Might want to contact Andrew Miklas as well, he's noted the same thing and was also chugging through Linksys support. Note that Dell did something similar, and resolved it admirably when Colm MacCárthaigh asked -- the source for the GPLed components of their Dell Truemobile 1184 is now up on the web, details here. Take note Linksys! ;)
