...from Osaka, Japan to NYC. Audio chat worked like a charm! There were a few dropouts, but the experience was pretty pleasant overall. One caveat is that sound only comes out of one speaker, which was a bit annoying. This is to avoid feedback with the internal mic on Powerbooks.   Good tip on the help doc for audio. Apple has actually generated a handful of useful docs for iChat AV that are worth looking at.

  Also, I just tried my first video chat. All I can say is WOW! It was seamless. The lag from Osaka to Massachusetts was only about 3 seconds! Again, with Apple, *it just works*. Although, I have to say, one of my first thoughts was "the porn possibilites are frightening." And I can assume you've all been to http://www.myisight.com...
