I know this is probably an ignorant questions...but, is there any possibility of using the iSight with the iPod? Not now, since I know there's no software. I was just wondering if it's physically possible.

    Better question: howabout using the iSight with Linux? Has anyone started hacking drivers together yet?

      Yes, the Apple iSight works fine with Linux. I am using SuSE 8.2, libdc1394 0.9.2 and coriander 0.99.5. I get 26 fps in 640x480 YUV 4:1:1. I ran it for hours without ever crashing.
      So get Your iSight and enjoy :)

    that might be interesting if some way could be worked to record the isight video to the ipod...
