I am trying to give access to my itunes music library /user/user_name/music/itunes/itunes music/ on my webpage. Apache Webserver is looking for the files here here /documents/ located in my webserver folder under my library. How can I get it to let me give access to it.

  I have figured out how to do this now...but when I try to pull it up it says "Forbidden - You don't have permission to access /musicarchive/ on this server." Why do I not have permission now.

  Remember that you have to add the Directory directive after you create the alias. For example:
  
  Alias /musicarchive/ "/user/user_name/music/itunes/itunes music/"
  
  <Directory "user/user_name/music/itunes/itunes music/">
  Options Indexes MultiViews
  AllowOverride None
  Order allow,deny
  Allow from all
  </Directory>
  
  Also, the path in the Alias and Directory is case sensitive, so you would use "/Users", not "users".

  i've done all of that, but this is still what i get:
  
  Forbidden
  You don't have permission to access /musicarchive/ on this server.

  any ideas?

  you need to change the permissions of your folders to enable apache to acces them. Set every one (You, group, and others) to read. You may have additional write privelages for yourself.
  
  I have done this myself, and that's all there was to it for me (as well as adding the folder in Terminal)
