NSMutableArray *tempArray = [[NSMutableArray alloc] init];


This will fix the error but you need to release the tempArray at the end of the method otherwise there will be a memory leak.


or you can do this which returns an autoreleased array?


NSMutableArray *tempArray = [NSMutableArray array];
