I saw this in the catalog and linked to it from my weblog. I wish I had the book to read but it is a bit pricey. The Era of the Personal Computer is not over, I think. It's just that computers have become more ubiquitous. I am not sitting here typing on an appliance, it is a computer. Computers, I think, are all of the things in the article. Yes, they are hubs, but they are more. They may morph into devices, be embeded, change shapes, be everything from nanites to mainframes. But, a tablet like a PDA or a desktop is still a computer! I believe the Era of the Personal Computer is not over, it has just changed form. Computers have an ability to be everything from and engine to a vehicle. That, in my opinion, is their beauty!.
