  I understand your disappointment, believe me I do. But I'd like you to know that this isn't some sort of American xenophobic action. There are more legal tripwires in a contest like this than there are strings on a harp.
  
  We pushed the limits as far as we could, and the result is the contest you see explained on this site, which if you read the rules, has very few restrictions (and that's on purpose).
  
  (Have you considered a nice sabbatical in beautiful Northern California?)
  
  We'll continue to see how far we can push the limits on future events without risking legal entanglements...
