Excellent article. I hope that your predictions come true. The way I see it, these mappers and connectors signify a maturation of the industry perhaps - instead of just relying upon coding cowboys, we'll start to see more emphasis placed on the collaborative requirements of software development. Small quibble: the link to the "Mastering Regular Expressions" book is broken. There's no value in the href.
