The phone is seen, paired, and AddressBook tries but there isn't a moan from the phone. I contacted the 3 intended receipients and they confirmed failure.

  I am using T39m, all features (sms, make & receive call, sync adressbook) work.
  
  Maybe you need to upgrade your firmware, earlier versions have been known to misbehave.
