An open-source unrestricted VDR is very interesting to me, I just hope I can learn the technical skills needed to make it work. There are PCs with the ability to timeshift. The ability to hide annoying banner ads on T.V. as well as automatically recognizing and filtering commercial interruptions might be doable under programming. I will definitely NEVER use a tivo. If they’re forcing certain shows on others they can force them on me.
